My Political Values is a free political values test that maps your answers across twelve dimensions, including economics, civil liberties, social change, migration, and the environment. You receive a separate result for each axis, so a single left–right label does not have to carry your whole worldview.
The quick test has 48 questions and takes roughly 6–8 minutes. The full test has 96 questions and takes roughly 12–16 minutes. Reading speed varies. Both cover all twelve axes; the full version samples twice as many statements on each axis.
Yes. Both test lengths, all twelve scores, result explanations, sharing, and downloads are free. You do not need an account or email address, and no test score is hidden behind a payment. An optional $6.99 personal report adds deeper interpretations and a workbook; you can see a complete fictional sample before buying.
No. This is an educational self-reflection tool with an openly explained scoring method. The questions and scales have not been independently validated as a psychometric instrument. Your scores describe your responses to these statements, not a diagnosis or a prediction of how you will vote.
The Political Compass presents economic and social coordinates. 8values organizes eight values into four axes. This independent My Political Values test reports twelve dimensions separately, including public services, worker voice, and the distribution of government power. The questionnaires and scores are different and cannot be directly converted.
Answers are processed in your browser and saved on this device so you can resume. The free test does not send individual answers or scores to a server. If you choose the optional paid report, you explicitly agree to temporary server processing of the saved answers. They are not stored in an application database or sent to Stripe or analytics. A result link contains your scores in the part after the # symbol; anyone you send it to can read them. You can clear saved answers at any time.
Choose Neutral when you have a genuinely balanced or neutral view. Choose Skip / not sure when you do not have an answer. Skips are excluded from scoring and reduce the reported coverage; an axis with no answered questions is shown as unmeasured.
No. Parties and political labels differ across countries and over time. The result is a map of your stated preferences. Use it to understand the tradeoffs that matter to you, then examine actual policies and evidence separately.
